What does your favorite cocktail say about your personality?

There’s nothing better than meeting up with your friends or sugar daddy for some drinks. Especially after a long day or week at work! We all know that feeling of “I’ve had enough; it’s time for a cocktail”. And it feels even better when you actually get to the bar, greet your friends and start to socialize. You slowly begin to let go of all the stress from the day.

Then it’s time to order a drink. But which one? Surely, we all have a favorite cocktail that we usually drink on many occasions. That drink you always order when you don’t know what to drink, since you know it won’t let you down. But what does this preference say about your personality? In this article you’ll finally find out!

Romantic

A very colorful drink is the tequila sunrise. This summer cocktail has two types of preparations. One of them has tequila, lime juice and sparkling water. The other is, of course, also tequila, accompanied by orange juice and grenadine. Those who enjoy drinking this delicious drink are considered sweet and romantic people who laugh easily and who also have great creativity.

Happy

Those who have mojito as their favorite cocktail tend to be happy people. This sweet drink, very popular in the Latin countries, has gained increasing popularity in other countries. Consisting of rum, lime, mint and sugar, the mojito represents cheerful and friendly people. People who do not mind walking every weekend from party to party, since they love to enjoy life to the fullest. Somewhat crazy and funny are other adjectives that define them.

The independent woman

If there is a drink that is synonymous with independence (especially feminine) it is the cosmopolitan. This cocktail prepared with vodka, triple sec, blueberries and lemon juice is usually associated with executive women, the hardworking type. It’s no coincidence that this was the favorite cocktail of Carrie, the protagonist of the New York series “Sex and the City”. It is said that in addition to representing success, those who prefer this drink are often very concerned about both their physical and intellectual appearance.

Rational

Those who prefer the elegant gin and tonic are often described as rational people. It is said that they are also people who are great listeners and who are not impressed so easily. They are also intelligent and fair.

Some other popular drinks

I know we are mainly talking about cocktails, but we can’t forget about beer and wine, considering how popular a drink they are.

Spontaneous

Beer is synonymous with spontaneity and fun. It is said often that people who prefer this millenary drink are carefree. They are also people who are strong, confident and hardworking.

Intellectuals

Wine enthusiasts, also known as oenophiles, are known for having a great sense of humor. In addition, they are people who can enjoy a long time talking with others. Being intellectual is also a characteristic of people who love a good glass of wine. However, sometimes they can come off as arrogant.

Maybe, if you identify as a sapiosexual person, it would be a good idea to watch out for people ordering and drinking wine!

Sophisticated

If you’re looking for a match in terms of intellect, go for the wine drinkers. However, if you are looking for success, pay attention to where the champagne bottles go! If people are having this drink, nine times out of ten you will be right to assume they have good reasons to celebrate. I don’t know about you, but this is exactly the kind of people I’d gravitate to.

Maybe you could start a conversation with them by showing off your knowledge of champagne 😉

So now you know: the next time you go out with your friends or with someone new, you’ll be able to decipher a few things about their personality solely based on their choice of drink! That is a really neat addition to your first impression of them and maybe an even better conversation topic. Pro tip: use your assumption as an icebreaker and try to find out if it was right.

What about you? What is your favorite cocktail? Would you say the common associations to it are spot on? Let us know in the comments 😉
